turmeric latte for acne

This delicious, warm, frothy cup of goodness is quickly becoming a new favourite of mine. With turmeric to help reduce inflammation and ghee the amazing healthy fat to support balanced hormones. To manage acne, I have been focusing on reducing intestinal inflammation (read: go to the bathroom on a daily basis) and balancing my hormones (regulate my monthly cycle). Stress doesn't help things either, so sometimes you need to take a time out and snuggle up with a Turmeric Latte. 

 

 

INGREDIENTS

Makes 2 servings

1 cup coconut milk (or 2 cups nut/oat milk and omit the water)

1 cup water

1 tbsp ghee or coconut oil

1 tsp ground turmeric

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground ginger

pinch of black pepper

1 tsp raw honey

 

METHOD

1. Add coconut milk, water & ghee to a small pot on low heat.

2. Add in the turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper and honey. Keep heat low and slowly warm for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently and avoiding boiling. 

3. To froth, pour golden milk into your blender and give it a quick blend.
